The “Path to the Column”, which is over 300 metres long and directly connected with the park of the Villa, was a shooting range in the early 19th century. While walking along the path you can admire typical views of Chianti hills with vineyards and olive groves. At the bottom of the path, surrounded by very old cypresses, a column with a headless winged woman stands right on the top. The information, orally reported, is that a soldier, during the Second Wold War, shot the head of that Venus with a rifle. The Path may be used to organize an original street food party, as well as to arrange a magnificent imperial table for a dinner on a starry night or a ceremony, or even for an exclusive photoreport. Actually it is a magic place where a lot of lovers in the past have exchanged their promises of undying love.
